Headline:
Mainly dry at first. Rain spreading east overnight and tomorrow.
This Evening and Tonight:
A few showers in eastern England at first, but tending to die out. Rain, heavy at times, will affect Northern Ireland and western Scotland after midnight, slowly moving east. Elsewhere, dry with some clear spells and fairly cool overnight.
Friday:
Rain, heavy at times, will affect much of Scotland, northwest England and Wales. Northern Ireland starting wet, but drying up later. Elsewhere, mainly dry but fairly cloudy. Temperatures near normal.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Much of the UK will see fairly changeable weather throughout this period, with some rain or showers, but also some sunshine. Temperatures near normal in light or moderate northwesterly winds.
