Headline:
Good sunny spells Wednesday but cloudier in the far north.
Today:
A bright, frosty start in many places then sunny spells with light winds for most, although a cloudy start in the far south. Mainly cloudy and breezier in the north and northwest however with some showers over the Northern Isles.
Tonight:
Cloud will gradually spread southeastwards although there will still be a frost in many southern and eastern areas. Still windier in the north and west with rain developing overnight.
Thursday:
Rain in the north and west will slowly spread southeast through the day but becoming lighter and more patchy. Brighter spells and scattered showers will follow to the north later.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Bright, sunny or clear spells but chilly northwesterly winds. Some showers too but mainly for the north and west, although more prolonged rain at times in the far northeast.
